Service Ping Pong -ID fraud & Incompetent Local Authorities

For several years now I've been having huge problems with post and now that has progressed to ID(address) fraud.
Was it deliberate ? Who knows ......but now a neighbour has several bank accounts & loans with Barclaycard/Lloyds TSB/Clydesdale bank using MY ADDRESS........None reply when I write and tell them that this & previous people are not living at my address but probably do or were living several doors down. The Local Council has incompetently never bothered to allocate THAT building's converted flats a distinct address of their own. Hence put their flat number & street address number in to the Post Office database(although different from ours is numerically overlapped) and it just assumes it's my address & my neighbours' thus duplicating some dozen addresses. They , technically don't exist.

Of course without the complacency & lack of flexibility of the Utilities-yes ALL OF THEM with the sole exception of TV Licensing(God Bless them !)- these opportunist shits wouldn't have been able to "prove" their address & obtain bank accounts.

Want to put an end to this "accidental ID fraud" facilitated by incompetent Councils ? (take note Nigel Evans MP & committee)

1 Make the planning department responsible for every property and household (urgently for converted properties) to have a DISTINCT ADDRESS-no overlaps - Overlaps should incur hefty fines

2 Make the Council financially responsible for any pecuniary loss should they fail to do so PRIOR TO ALLOWING LANDLORDS TO RENT OUT THE PROPERTIES OR SELLERS TO SELL.

3 Make it law that EACH &EVERY address has to be displayed in full EXACTLY on an engraved plate (of the type professionals use) at the main entrance to each property. This will aid parcel delivery/postal delivery by temporary illiterate postal workers who lack local knowledge.

4 Make utility companies liable to pay compensation to customers should they fail to listen when customers alert them to address problems & subsequently have their data compromised.

5 Make all financial companies display on their envelopes a fraud alert address to send dodgy stuff to. Currently there's only a dump address & to open ID fraud mail to find out who to send it to is to commit an offence.......thus perpetuating the problem.

6 Make all organisations including the Post Office obliged to reply to an ID/ADDRESS FRAUD ALERT within 14days & take proper steps to sort it ...a pathetic "Land Registry says it's correct "does fuck all about the address that is not on the system & so is able to piggy back yours due to similarity & the Council's failure in the first place.

7 The buck stops with the Council from the outset........not the householder if it is an address allocation problem.

I couldn't open an ISA due to this problem-not that I have much to save but supposedly I'm entitled to have a tax free account.......I can't get a passport.......I'm not planning going anywhere but i'm entitled to one(it's not Eastern Europe yet...hmmm?)....there's no way on earth i'm giving an address that is indistinct & currently hijacked by a neighbouring property.

So, I've told utility companies, post office, council, benefits, banks (mine & those that have customers fraudulently using my address, I've even told the Local Crime Prevention "Adviser".probably a civvy by the lack of proper interest & action.

I'm at the end of my tether........if this goes on much longer, it'll be something extra added to Welfare Reform that i'll be mentioning to the Samaritans.....

Turning up at outside 'events' may be great for their visibility...lime green vehicles &lurid boiler suits ....but if they position themselves off the natural walking line (ie back & away from other stalls).....people like me who may want to talk to them can't......
